Looking to change my discs and pads on my 2014 E250 AMG. The pads are directional. Apparently you have to fit them in the direction the disc turns so when the leading edge first encounters the brake pads it gives smoother braking. It recommends putting a dot on your disc and seeing which way that dot hits the pad.

Anyone any experience of this?

Thanks

Usually it´s only the piston side brake pads (inner). Install it with the half moon cut facing downwards.

Got to the bottom of it. It's more about which way the disc enter the pad for the first time. If the calliper is on the back of the disc the directional pads arrow faces up. If the calliper is on the front it's down.
