Disabling immobiliser on my 1995 E250 D W210.

Hi,
i have what seems like a common problem, with the immobiliser on my 1995 W210, E250 D. The car was fine up until yesterday, then it refused to start,
the immobiliser lights in the rear view mirror started flashing.
I have replaced the batterys in the key today & it has not made any difference


The car Locks & unlocks fine with the remote key, however when i put the key in the ignition & turn it on, the red & green lights on the interior mirror flash & the car obviously does not start. I would really appreiciate advice on how i can disable my immobiliser, or what is causing this, as i am stuck without a car @ the moment because of this.

I had the same shambles of an alarm on mine. It did this fairly often. Try unlocking the doors disconnecting the battery (under the back seat) for 10 seconds. Re-attach the battery. Shut the doors, lock them (do a rain dance!!!) then unlock and see if it resets the immobiliser!

Hi Again, Thanks for the quick reply back Hillman. I will try that & see what happens, hopefully it will work. I will let you know. If it does not work, any idea on what will be causing this problem? and is it possible to bypass the immobilliser completley? Because if it is, i might just do that.

Bypassing the immobiliser is not recommended and also cannot be discussed on this forum for obvious reasons.

Not sure about bypassing but I know you can go to a good auto electrician and get it removed but it is not cheep. Did disconnecting the battery work for you?
