2008 MERCEDES C-CLASS C180 KOMPRESSOR SE (MANUAL / PETROL)
Hi Guys

Sorry if I am in the wrong forum. In deep trouble, with the car refusing to start, after a 12 hr shift at work

It’s a MB 2008 Kompressor C180

Yesterday night I drove 100 miles in heavy rains. Noticed several vehicles stranded but carried on. After a while notice that my own high beam and side indicator wouldn’t work.
Just before parking it showed up as ‘check brake pad’ despite the brakes working fine

Has happened once before, when the vipers refused to work.

This time just carried on reached work site, parked and hope all would be well the next day

Tonight tried to switch the engine on and three warnings flash up ending with ‘malfunction workshop’
The three are
cruise control inoperative
abs and eps inoperative
run flat indicator inoperative

I’m not an expert but looks like water has seeped in and caused some electrical issues??
Took some pics of the front engine, enclosed within. Any advise, please help !!
The closest MB is S&P garages Lincoln at less than 1 mile . Will need to recover the car there , have breakdown cover but not sure if towing is included.
Please do advise

Mel

The three warnings appear to point to a faulty wheel speed sensor but the car really needs recovering and the fault codes read with Star.
Does the high beam and indicator work with the ignition turned on?
Hopefully your breakdown service will include recovery, if not your indy may be able to recover the car.
Sorry I can't assist further.

As above the errors point to a bad wheel sensor.
Does it start? If so it's perfectly nok to drive but remember you will have no traction control and no ABS.

Check under the fuse box for water too.

As above I recently had exactly that. Get it on diagnostics and find out which one. Then if you have time lift out clean it blow out hole, leading to reluctor ring. Put back try again aftermarket sensor 40 quid mb 130bquid. I have replaced one origional and 1 aftermarket so I see which last longest. Now done 1000+ miles no further issues
