hi can anyone tell me if they have used the procedure of just locking the car and then jack it up to change the front discs and pads my car is a 320 cdi dec 03 i have read some replies and they say this disables the sbc as long as no one opens the door got the car in june and really quite like car dealer led me to believe after carrying this out it would help level of buzzing from sbc unit?

I would not attempt to change the pads in that way. You can either disconnect the battery or easier to unplug the large plug on the SBC pump, even if you start the engine up to change the lock, you can leave the plug out, the dash will go bright red, but that is ok, and is part of the training program on SBC.

Other than the above it is straight forward and conventional.

Changing the discs and pads won't make a blind bit of difference to the buzzing of the SBC unit. Its normal.
