Hi

My 4 year old son, bless him, has put the nav disk in my APS 50 slot upside down and now it won't eject. Does anyone know if there is an emergency release mechanism for this?

Thanks
Charles

Often when these things jam, or lock up, removing the power to the unit , and reconnecting will allow a re set, and eject, If not the top can be taken off, and the disc retrived.

Thanks for the advice. If it ever stops raining, I'll give it a go.

APS 50 Disc Stuck.

Hi, I have the same problem, Nav Disc in APS 50, ( W 211 E Class ) is stuck inside unit, eject button reads ' ejecting disc ' but nothing happens. 'CD Read error' message sometimes appears, Did you succeed in removing the stuck disc by disconnecting the power, if this works I was thinking the simplest way would be to remove the power at the battery. How did you eventually remove the disc, Thanks for any help.

You can pull the fuse for the Command, that will do the same thing, see what happens, if not it will have to come out and the eject fixed

What you can try is this;

Get a blunt cutlery knife and carefully insert it into the drive so it is above the disk itself. Then gently pressing down with the knife, pres the eject button.

This works many times for customers of mine who say they have a disk stuck in the comand unit.
