Dismantling an air vent

Cab anyone help me dismantle a dashboard airvent on a CLK320?

It has a screw visible but removing this does not help. Do I need to remove the whole dashboard?

It's the one on the far left in front of the passenger seat - near the door. It fell apart but I think I can repair it if I could remove it.

Theres a screw on the top, push the vent down to show the screw, remove, and pull it out!!
