Hi All
I have a 1979 w123 Mercedes.

I have purchased the orange distributor cap. I can't find any ignition leads that fit it. My distributor cap seems to have threads on the pin which means something has to screw into it. All the leads seem to want to be push-fit.
Am I doing something wrong?
Please can someone help as my car has been grounded for two years and I really want to get him out!
;-(
Thank you!

No, the leads do push fit onto the threaded bits, it might have been done that way to add friction and secure them better, and it works

in my experience, there are some leads that 'screw' into the dizzy cap & some leads that are a push fit.

Early Mini dizzi caps were threaded and took screw on leads.... I could only get a push in cap when out in the wilds and the cap cracked so the leads were held in with silver foil and matchsticks...!
