Hi All
My car is Mercedes Benz CLK 230 Elegence Coupe 2001.
I have left the car unused for more than 2 weeks...now the car cannot start at all.. I would like to check the battery connection.. but my problem is, I cannot open the bonnet :(
Under the streering wheels, I could find a red knob, which, when I pressed the bonnet was released. Then to be fully released and up, I need to lift the whole front cover .. but something stuck in between the radiator grill... I need help. How to open the bonnet? :(

Sorry if this is too basic.

regards
Fidahz

Pull the catch in the gril, under the star?? and it will open, then you can join up 12volt to the red large terminal on the bulk head, this will enable the central locking

You need to pull the release tongue that should stick through the grill.

as i remember the 208 dont have the red jumping point, but on the n,s led your find a black plastic cap, square, lift lid off and your find two 10mm nuts holding down two fuses, live to one off them, earth to earth and that will give you power to open boot!!!
