Anyone know how to?
Mines cracked and I need to replace it.
There does appear to be a nut on the shaft embedded in the plastic. The shaft also seems to have a threaded hole.

Sorry for post in this section. Wont let me post in DIY

Many thanks.
Also if you don't mind me asking here (save you looking it up later ;)

I want to replace the Alu sub frame that mounts the engine. Big job and perhaps I shouldn't but want to be sure every things OK and I'm suspicious of it.
I'd hate to get everything else done and then HAVE to do it after.

Don't worry if not.

Many many thanks.

I'll post some pics as soon as I make any progress.

Hi Mate,

If it's the pump I think it is (with the resevoir on top) then it's a pressed on pulley. You need to have it unpressed, we've got tools to do it here. Not sure how you could DIY though without damaging it.

If you want, we can swap the pulleys over for you if you want. If you send it to me with £15 + the replacement pulley, I'll have my technician change it over and send it back to you via interlink (Next Day Service), so you just paying for the postage back to you really.

OK thats good news something on a merc is fixable.
Thank you very much for your offer Mr Power Steering. Much appreciated.
I'll whip it off at the weekend if thats ok or earlier if evening weather permits.

Malcolm's right about the car and pulley. Shame I don't have a picture to hand at the moment.
Bit cheeky this , but would you mind if I also ask if you do the hoses for same pump, and could you include a price for a replacement. Was going to source elsewhere, but if you don't mind I would prefer you to match up the correct one while you have the pump. I could include it with the pump when I send it to you.
Would that be ok?

Hi Mate,

Yeah if you send it down.. I'll try match that pulley up for you if I do have one but will have to charge for the pulley. On the hose side, if I've got a hose lying around I will let you have it because we don't actually sell hoses.. but if I haven't got one, I could get one made up for £120+VAT if you're interested.. you can just package the hose + pump together and I'll sort it out when it gets here.

When you send it, just send it with a note stating that I (JaY) said I'll do the pulley swap including postage for £15 if you can provide your own pulley. I don't know what we charge for pulleys because we don't normally sell them.. it's only if we got more than 2 of any sort.. I would expect £30-60

Ok Jay thanks again for the offer. I'll get it off to you and then we'll go from there. I'll try and get it off and in the post by the weekend but will prob be next week when you get it. Not certain the hose is bad, just a feeling. The curly one snaked in front of the rad was a bit crushed, so if it is I'll send as well. Really dont know where to get another pulley just yet. I have a few mates (suppliers) but couldnt be sure yet I'd get the right one. Not sure if diamater would matter a great deal, would adjust a few mil on the belt. Width of pulley and shaft dia is prob more crucial. I do know its plastic (crap).
