Do I drive Taxi?

BUT IF ANYONE ELSE ASKS ME WHAT THE FARE IS TO THE AIRPORT I'LL FLIP!

Has anyone else had the P**s taken out of them about being a Taxi?

What smart replies do you use?

Or is it just that I work with a Bunch of W**kers?

Ever though of getting a peaked cap and a taxi meter,,you should do well.. it is jealousy from the unknown who do not know how nice they drive

I get it all the time, but then again I remind folk that a Mercedes is used by the taxi trade as its one of the few cars tough enough to cope, and that when they next get a run from me, I'll charge them £1/mile

Malcom, funny I haven't heard about the Peaked cap, but I have been asked if the holes are still in the roof!

I've never been one to take the urine out of what people drive, I really couldn't care less.

I think that because In my Job I have to be very critical ( F1 Composite Inspection), and most that take the Micky are those that I have been critical about their work...

Funny that Jez, I don't go to the party because they are a Bunch of Wan*ers!

I always say that it's bad enough I have to work with them..But socialise with them as well..NO THANKS!!

To be fair very few taxis in the UK are Merc's. Yes abroad there are lots of them but mainly in the UK they are Toyota Avensis's or similar.

I think a lot of it boils down to the fact they are jealous. It wouldn't let it bother me.

A collegue was taking this P whilst we sat in a hotel bar one evening. Just then a taxi pulled up. It wasn't a merc but a Peugeot. What did he drive? Haaaaaaaa

Its just jelousy.
Remind them, Taxi drivers do massive mileages and spend 12+ hours a day in their cars, they demand something roomy, comfortable and built well enough to handle the stresses and strains of being on the road 24/7, hammered by the general public. Hence, when given the choice, what do they choose?....

Have to say our local taxi firm is all Merc's - fairly new ones too

The only time my Merc gets called a Taxi is when Son shouts..........."Mum can you give me a lift to here, there and everywhere" but as it only has two seats the mates have to walk!!
