I have an slk 200 (new shape 05) for past 3 days intermittently signalling left by itself and not turning off. It only turns off when you indicate right, but when it centres again from right the left indicator turns back on.
My wife took car to Local dealer today and they have told us there was no fault found,so both my wife and I are lying and the 20 people who nearly crashed into us at various roundabouts and junctions over the past few days were not seeing us indicating.:???:
We obviously have nothing better to do than take the car to the dealer as they had it out for 5 mins and no fault developed or showed up on computer so they are right and we are wrong.
Has anybody else had this??
Sorry about the strong post for my first 1 but as we have only had car for 5 weeks and it has been in the garage 3 times for door seal and roof seal faults we are getting a little peeved with the local dealer not doing anything to fix fault and practically accusing my wife of making up the fault!!!
:( :( :(
Thanks in advance

Do you have a mobile phone that takes videos? If so, the next time it does it, pull over and film the fault. Then they can't accuse you of anything.

I do have a camera but i went out tonight for a chinese after wife got car from garage and fault came back again but only twice!!
I know its not me cause it turns left indicator on after you have turned right and the auto off kicks in for right. If you use lane change quick indicator on left it stays on until you turn left right left right several times.
****** annoying and the garage is 30 miles from my house too.
Cheers will try phone next time i am out
Will be able to pull in no problem as most people think I am stopping anyway:rolleyes:

The indicator switch is a known problem, and everything you say points to that.
