dodgy starter

when I start my SEL 600 it makes a noise similar to a flat?low battery and the dash lights flicker. Battery checks out ok, is there a relay for the starter motor or maybe a loose wire. Don't want to start in the wrong place as there is so much to strip out to do anything and I have no manuals. Any input appreciated.

It sounds like a loose connection onto the Battery, positive or negative. Check all connections are tight. There are no fuses in the starter circuit.
