I don't actually name my cars but they are invariably interesting, i wouldn't want a boring eurobox as a gift, and i lavish love and constant attention on them.

Not as much TLC as the fine woman i'm married to gets you understand but enough to make them definately feminine and much nicer to be with for being so, so they are always 'her' or 'she'.

The pick up gets looked after equally well, but as its 'er indoors' motor its not female....and the name she's given it would make a wrestler blush.
Could you really call a hilux 'she' anyway?

Photocopying?

I almost never consider inanimate objects to have a gender.

I was greatly amused by the secretaries in one office I used to work in who referred to the photocopier as "she" (no name).

When I inquired, they said, "simple, designed to reproduce but takes forever to warm up"! :Oops:

All our cars have been named, Mercs were:

Thomas (the Tank) - a 350SE of 1979 vintage as in Thomas
Baxter (Benz) - C220 CDi of 2000
Eric (the E Class) - E Class 2.7 CDi 2002
Brabinger (after the butler in To The Manor Born) - 2004 CLK 2.7 CDi because when the seat belt presents itself on its arm I say "thank you Brabinger"
