What causes the interior locking button to bounce up and down when locking or unlocking the doors having problems with ns front door.

You need to replace the plunger motor, welcome to the site by the way!

As SAM above,,a spring breaks inside the motor unit and it has to be replaced

Cheers how expensive is the plunger motor by the way and is it easy to replace

It quite straight forward to do, price I do not know.

before you buy a new switch you could check for any glue on the door locking pin.

I have sent the pin paper to check first before you change the locking motor

Just looked at what you sent your a star thanks very much for your help all I have to do now is do the job looks a bit involved so will need a fair weather day as will have to do it outside but at least I now know what is involved. Happy New Year to you
