Just picked up my ML430, very pleased especially as it's all of a sudden like we live in the north pole here in staffordshire, lots of snow.

Quick question though - when i drive off she locks, as have all my other mb's, but when i stop, open my door and get out, only the drivers door opens, al the others stay locked as does the fuel cap. Have to open them using the keyfob.

Is this normal and if so can i change the settings?

:)

You do have options in the menus as to what locks and unlocks on most cars now. Do not you have a master lock button in the cab.

On my Ml if I need to unlock all the doors from inside the car I use the master lock switch on the centre console, I remember on my C class you could disable the automatic door locking if yo wished, I quite like the function myself.

No buttons on my wheel :)

Haven't got any buttons on my wheel but I have found master switch.

Going to leave her as she is, wife quite likes the security aspect of one door only opening and you soon get used to opening the others with the key/master switch :)

Thanks for your help guys :)

This is now done as a safety feature so that things cant be stolen from the passenger seat, say at traffic lights.
