Hi,
at some point during its life my e220 has had a replacement drivers door lock cylinder so the drivers door key is different from the ignition, passenger door and boot. I've looked in the workshop manual and it looks fairly straightforward to remove the lock cylinder. Does anyone know if the drivers and passengers lock cylinders are interchangable? in other words can I move the "odd" lock onto the passenger door? carrying two keys all the time is a bit of a pain.
Thanks for your help, Neil

You can swap the drivers and passenger locks over, they are held in place with a grub screw and they just pull out, 5 min job to swap.

Call 07730 777596 to arrange a time to do it over the phone if needs be.

thankyou for the offer, but it does look quite straightforward in the manual. I just wanted to know if it was possible before starting. having said that I may give you a call if I get stuck!

the locks refit with the key in the lock and twist to the right so the end of the locks fit back into place.

Easy enough though.
