Sorry to be a pain but I am really struggling to remove the cover on my W210 - WDB2100612A619211 OS door mirror (the glass silvering has come off and I need to replace it) the item is heated and electric but not electric folding or dipping.
There is no retaining spring clip and pull as I might the ****** thing will not budge - I can see a stainless TEE clip when I fold the mirror back which seems to be a retainer of sorts but am reluctant to play around without knowing what is likely to 'fly-off'
Now some oik has buggered up the NS mirror (passing person saw them try to yank the whole mirror off the car) as a result the glass is all floppy and will no longer adjust 'in and out' with the motor, although it will 'up & down'
I know that I can obtain two replacement items from a breaker at around £170 but before I do can anyone help on the removal so that I can see what has gone wrong and see how I am going to put the whole issue right
