Hi, I need to replace the driver door switch. Seat belt caught in door jamb as I shut it and smashed the sensor. Can anyone please advise if I need to remove the interior trim on the door post to do this job. If so, how?
The old switch does not seem to want to come out through the switch aperture in the door post. Would appreciate any advice. Thank you

A how to would be appreciated. Can yo email it or should I send you my address or fax? Just to clarify...The switch was pushed thru the aperture but I have managed to pull it out almost competely. SOmething is holding it back so that I can't get to the connectors. Is it designed so that the wiring is connected to the switch outside the door post and then the switch pushed into the aperture from the outside?
Thanks for your help.

Sent by Email,,good luck:grin:

The wiring could be clipped to the B pillar, thus stopping it from coming out

Excellent result

:grin:All done. You were correct in that the wiring was attached to the pillar. Wasn't necessary to remove the trim. Just ease it back to allow the damaged switch to be got at. Simple connector plugged into the new switch. Tks again.
