Door Trim Panel

Does anybody know how to take the door trim panel(front & back) off a 98' E240 and what tools do I need.
Water is leaking through the plastic sheet onto the door sill inside of the rubber door weather strip where it shouldn't be.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Think you will find it remarkably similar to those on a w124.

Plastic weathershield is only about £2 so best off buying new each time you remove door panel anyway. Remember to buy some spray adhesive as well tho

Is it really that simple?

I thought there are loads of plaster fasteners along the edges of the panel which will break when you take them off. I believe there is a bolt behind the airbag badge as well.

How come my dealer insists that it will take at least one hour to take the trim panel off ?

The reason why I want to take the panel off is to stop/fix the water leaking through between the plaster weathershield and the door panel - the dealer tried 8 times to fix it but it is still leaking ! They said it is designed to leak !!!

Another question.
What is the best glue/adhesive for the job?

Hmmm, wait a minute..

I dunno now having seen another thread. Maybe there *are* some clips on your model.

The screws are under the armrests and behind the interior release surround. The surround unclips for access.
