I'm new to this forum. I have a 1986 300 SDL and I would like to remove the door panel to fix the window. I read in previous threads about the nylon bushings that may come loose (fall off) and cause the window not to close. I worry about prying off a plastic piece that does not pry off. If anyone knows a clear step by step procedure for door panel removal, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.

Pascal,
Your advice to "go gently" was on the mark. Thank you. I spent some time wiggling and tugging and I was sucessful in removing the door panel. Mine had 4 separate plastic angle things that fit into the steel of the door. They were about 3/4" long and therefore the panel had to be gently raised 3/4" before coming off. Plus the clip holding the mirror adjustor was difficult. The plastic key on the back side had to be tapped out toward the door, and then the surrounding plastic could be removed and the lever taken off.
The bad news...the teeth on the regulator were worn.

When I was reassembling the window and regulator I had trouble aligning the window. In addition to the obvious 3 nuts and 2 bolts that go through the door....you need to remember the bolt just past the regulator motor. My window growled at me, until I loosened and re-set this forgotten bolt. Now it runs up and down like a dream :)
