Good site, lots of info worth knowing, but none for the 1997cc engine. And I cannot find anything on air con!

Funny how you menton the 2 litre engine. I think this is an american site, but have you noticed americans always have huge engined cars. No wander they are the true gas guzzlers.

Can't find the W201 manual-where should I be looking?

Same for the w163.270, I suppose Americans dont understand Diesels outside of trucks!
The Russian site is useful, but unless I use my friends services www.talkrussian.com, would have difficulty reading backwards
Ebay is a good reference, just picked up a complete DVD for Workshop Manual and Parts Library for a few quid, lookup under 'Mercedes manual'.

Anyone know where I can get a manual for the W202

I have a 1999 C180 and have a few silly little niggles I'd like to solve, so if anyone know where theres some manuals for that, I'd really appreciate it!

Hi ThPadd,

If your computer savvy and on Ebay, goto www.ebay.co.uk, type in Mercedes Manual as search criterion, then 100's of items come up. Look for a TIS and EPC manual, so you will have complete workshop repair procedures for your car, plus the EPC lists every part along with part numbers, so you know what to buy from Merc.

If your not computer savvy/ebay account, look at earlier posting, re:American site and Russian site, they may help.

Problem is the EPC one, comes on 4 DVDs, and only runs on XP Pro and I have home, and the TIS one only says it covers the C220, not the C180, is it the same?

After 8 years of owning vehicles from new, I lost touch maintaining my own cars due to work pressures, but now that I've decided to keep my 5yr old ML, Im getting back into it with avengeance. I've ordered the exact TIS/EPC you quote and was advised it was posted yesterday, so if you have time to hold off on purchasing, I can let you know. As these are Mercedes manuals, they will cover All models, but I will double check.

Windows XP Pro is Windows XP Home, but with features enabled. Usual Microsoft dual pricing rubbish (use Linux if you ever get the chance), but I will verify for you to be on the safe side.

I'll also let you know on the reliability etc of the Ebay Vendor.

Hi ThPadd,

The software delivered is the original Mercedes Discs, but with an extra disc, containing some non-standard merc software, to make the merc software work!! It specifically states Windows XP Pro or NT/2000 only, so no XP Home edition.

It does cover the C180.
