Hi,
Thought I'd have a go at cleaning my blocked dpf filter, so disassembled above parts to gain access to the filter. All went well until I tried to remove the large nut on the filter itself - wouldn't budge. Has anyone else had this issue?

Any seized nut can be removed with patience and knowing when to stop forcing.
1- Wire brush clean the area.
2- plus gas (don't bother with wd40)
3- 1 and 2 a few days later.
4- quality tools - sometimes a small tighten before loosening. If loosening is stiff 1-3 again.
5- last resort (not desperation but logic) the heat wrench - blow torch.

An impact is a lovely tool.

A snapped bolt is always the result of bring too ham fisted.

6 ... nut splitter (or hammer & chisel size dependent)
