Hi All,is there a drain plug on the W203 C220 fuel filter anywhere?

I remember there was on other vehicles I had before and you could drain out water now and again.
Moisture/water build up collecting in the diesel fuel tanks has always been a problem for the diesel vehicle.
I would certainly be looking for a diesel additive that would help eliminate moisture / water build up.
Thank you for all the interest.

you dont half worry bud.

Feel under the filter the a drain plug.

I dont know of any additive to remove water from diesel. In 30 years of motoring I havenever had an an issue of moisture in diesel.

Thank you that is interesting, I will check again,do you know if the C220 has a warning light or other on the dashboard to indicate water in the fuel filter?

No idea, as said never had an issue related to moisture in diesel in 30 years. Regardless regular changing of the filter sees to that

Years ago I had a VW diesel and the fuel filter had a tap at the bottom where you could drain off water.
When I got the car I drained off half a cup of water. After that I only drained off a eggcup full or less.

Maybe tne quality of diesel has improved since then? It certainly has become more of a mainstream fuel.

Have the same on my T25 camper, but I change the filter every 2 years on that and never had a drop of water.

Moisture droplets develop in the fuel tank with temperature highs and lows if it cannot be drained off it remains in the fuel system and is pumped through.I also had motors with the filter drain off valve and water would run out.
