drive belt routing 300e 3.0l 1986

I have just bought my firdt merc I love it but I suspision that the serp belt is not routed properly after the original owner replaced the water pump the tensioning pully is not even close to touching the belt I would apppreciate any diagrams of the routing of the belt and any other pointers as to the rerouting of such

Mine needs doing + I'm not looking forward to it; typical Haynes; a 3 spanner job but requires a 4 spannerer to get the fan off before you can get near the thing.
