Drivebelt A Class

Hi,

Just wandering if anyones replaced the drivebelt on their A Class mines a 2002model A210.

and if you have any hints , tips on how to do it as theres minimal access via the engine bay.

I will be purchasing mine tomorrow from German and Swedish!

Any help would be most appreciated!

Hello,

They can be fun let's say. I've done a few and you have to do it from underneath the car. I think that the tensioner bolt size is a 15mm I use a long straight spanner found this to be the best tool you may also need a long screwdriver or bar to hook belt on to the top pulleys.

From my experience with GFSP, I would buy a belt from a Mercedes dealer. It also may be cheaper but at least you will know you are fitting the correct belt for your vehicle

I did not think A210 does not have a drive belt!

It has a poly V belt. Its not really a drive belt but people call it that.

Get a genuione one too. They fit better. Taking the wheel arch liner out will not help either.
