Hi I'm the muppet who had his clk drivers side window broken. I managed to get a replacement and fitted it last weekend but now the drivers side door doesnt register that it is closed correctly, the window doesn't do that little shimmy into place, the door open light is on the dash and finally it wont lock using the remote but does lock using the physical key. The other doors are fine. It did work for about an hour but reverted back....any ideas ?

Have you closed the window and held the switch up for ~10 seconds then opened the window and held the switch down for ~10 seconds so the window knows where top and bottom is.

You may have disturbed the wiring in the door or perhaps there is a break in the loom where the door hinges.

I'd be looking at the window switch loom plug to see if it's seated correctly - just a guess.

Problem solved.....the button on the body of the car that registers that the door is closed was not engaging due to a missing trim around the door latch...phew !
