The driver?s side window in my ?93 190e stopped working a little while ago. I pulled the lining and verified that current was reaching the door so I assume this means the motor is shot. In my service manual they tell you to lower the window to get at some channel bolts for disassembly. I was wondering how hard is it to remove the motor and assembly given the fact that the window is stuck completely up.

Any suggests / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I had the problem and it turned out to be the switch (the drivers side gets more use than the other) Make sure the motor is shot by connecting wires directly to the battery first. If it is not the motor, the easy solution is to swap the drivers side switch with the passenger one.

Does the motor use 12V? I thought when I checked the connections at the door I was seeing around 9 volts or so. Can I just reverse the polarity at this connection by the door lining to make it go up and down?

Thanks for the help!
