Driving along the M3 today...

nice sunny day, stuck it on 75 on cruise and completed 310 mile round trip.

Car was running great, quiet and smooth (as expected). What wans't expected was the mpg. The computer read 42.6 out of my 2001 E320CDI. BEST EVER, normally average 36'ish on a run. All I've done is change the air filter and run some injector cleaner thru it.

My dads 2003 320cdi Estate did 50mpg once from Cheshire to Dover.

He had a C220cdi coupe as a loaner the other week and was disapointed with that as it was showing 35mpg ??

Yes I intend to do the same this week on mine,, be interesting to see if there is any improvement and I will do it on the M3 next week

Think my dad gets around 28 on a run in the SL500 so thats not bad either for the engine / performance.
