Drove down to see Friends this weekend, 60 MPH on Cruise control.
Managed to get 50 mpg.

I drove from Scotland to Cornwall & back & the fuel computer was between 2 & 3 mpg less than I actually measured by filling brim to brim.

Hi PMA, had mine @ 52mpg, can never get mine that high. Well done. Where do you stay? Up in Scotland the hills might do my car down, but I did an avg of 60mph over 6hrs and got 46mpg. It was mostly motorway work.

Thats great.
Ive been a bit dissapointed with my fuel economy since picking at up as i get 41-42mpg at 70 and im averaging about 34mpg which is really no better than my ML which weighed two tons and was a 4x4. in fact might start a thread asking what i should expect.

Do I take it no one can beat the 50mpg of my old W210.
I have never got more than 35mpg during normal driving, being economical was very tedious.
