Du Chatelet???

I have been givingmy Old girl (89 W201 190D 2.5) the once over and have been offered a set of 18" rims with 225 / 45 series tyres (all near new) for a reasonable price

I'm not convinced yet BUT the previous owner of my Baby was somewhat excited by my replacement of the original rims 15 inch 5 spoke @ £320 = vat each!!!with these new cheese grater things (I'm not sure if I like them Yet?)

Now can some one tell me if DuChatelet rims are really Sooooooo sought after????

oi can someone tell me where the edit button has gone cos I wanted to change the title and I can't find it!

Anyway further to the original post as far as I have been made aware Du Chatelet is the designer of the 16v Cossie bodykit for the 190's can anyone confirm this???

thanks Malcolm a strange idea (re the edit button) but There you have it!

Anyway further research has revealed that they are 5 spoke alloys produced by Ronal but designed by Du Chatelet they were the designers of the 16 valve body kit and fitted the first kits!

They now manufacture and fit armour to Luxury cars and some trucks

the question still stands Are these a sought after item? The previous owner has stated that if I were to put them on the infamous auction site they would "probably" realise £1000 GBP What do you Guys and Gals think Is he just blowin hot air???
