Try WD40, works on a lot of adhesives

Autoglym tar remover is pretty good too

and lighter fuel will probably do it, but do put that fag out first.

Myros is right - lighter fuel all the way (and I second the Ciggie comment ).

LF got rid of the glue/residue from duct and parcel tape from the paintwork on my wifes car after the window was taped up (after stereo theft :-x ) and I have always used LF to remove glue when debadging.

Also sorts out tar stains!

Neat alchohol will do it as well or even petrol
