E 300TD Estate

I am thinking of buying a E300td Estate avantgarde R/S reg to use as a cab, have seen a couple with 130,000Miles one owner full MB service history.

Have been told they are good for 250,000 if looked after can anyone advise me if i should or should not get one.

PS. have cash waiting if anyone has one for sale.

If one can only get 250,000 miles from one it must be very abused.
The mechanicals can have niggly faults but are generally very good.

Make sure the oil and antifreeze have been changed regularly and the engine should last . I would advise changing the auto gear oil and filter every 60-100k.

Rust is an issue.
Check the door tops, front spring locations, tailgate around lock button, radiator support panel and the wheelarches.
