I would look to see a photo of said battery and compare it with similar on the Tayna web-site. For example the Bosch batteries look identical to the Varta apart from colour. Also look at what number of years they are guaranteed for. You pay for delivery from Tayna but with their turn over it will not have sat degrading on the shelf for any length of time. The ECP battery will be a badge engineered copy of a well known make probably with a minimal length of guarantee. Varta would be my first choice.

Only thing I am not paying for it so beggars can’t be choosers but just I had never heard of starline.

3 yrs no quibble replacement which is very similar to many brands

Starline is ECP budget brand. Avoid.

I have also noticed that ECP seems pretty expensive nowadays.

It’s invoiced out at £ 188 and only available to trade . I might as well have it at free , it will do some of the cars about here .

But it was free so makes no difference. It was In return for a favour I had done for a trader and he thought I wanted the battery so kindly ordered me one , would have been ungrateful to say did not want it . As say there’s 1.5 kuga here , Renault kadjar , Ford b max ,and 2 m bs to name a few so it will be useful some day.

After bit of research these batteries may not be as bad as some suggest they have be out under Starline for just under a yr so early days but coming in at £100 cheaper that the varta agm and 3 yrs warranty might be value for money ,,, I see mechanics have been using other products by same manufacturer for some time and with little problems that I can find.
