E Class 200 1993 model, Heating does not work

Hello people,

I have a E Class 200 Mercedes 1993 Model, the heating does not work, i.e blowing cold air, no hot air at all, i have a new radiator, new thermostat, new radiator cap, new water pump, but still no hot air, there is no blockakge, the radiator is always hot, there is no blockage of any kind.

If someone has come across a similar problem please let me know.

Hi,

I have what appears to be a similar problem albeit a 1989 300E and it looks as though the ECU (Environmental Control Unit) needs replacing. I have made a temp fix by unplugging the connector from the back of the unit but this means that the heater is always on with no tempurature control at all (I'm not sure which is worse )

Unfortunately the replacement unit for my model is £383.00 plus VAT which is nearly as much as the car is worth . So if anyone knows where I can get a reconditioned unit I'd be pleased to hear.
