E-Class Folding Wing Mirrors

I had a '53 plate E-Class with electric folding mirrors as an extra. When I locked the car from the key handset the mirrors would fold in automatically and when I unlocked it they would open out. I now have a '55 plate E-Class with the same electric folding mirrors as an extra. However, they do not fold in and out when the car is locked or unlocked.

My question is have Mercedes removed this function and if so why?

It needs setting in the operating system menu - read the manual, or look at it on-line on the Mercedes web site.

Thanks for the note. I have read the handbook and the one on the Mercedes website and there is no mention of the mirrors folding when locking the car.

Use the multi function steering wheel
Page to settings
Select Convenience feature
Page to Fold mirrors when locking and select yes

I can't do a link to it because it's a Flash plug-in, but open up the interactive manual (from the website) then go to 'Controls in Detail', then 'Operating Sytem', then go to page 23 (of the 29 in that section) and it shows you how to do it (runs over to page 24 as well).
There's a chart of all the settings you can play with on page 12 (of 29).
