E class rust

I am worried! Do all eclass Mercs W210 Year 2000 onwards rust? I am nearly going to buy one tomorrow and it hasnt got a main dealer service history! (specialist) It has a touch of rust but this is where the LPG cap is and it obviously has corroded because of this. The rest of the car looks fine boot and inside door rubbers are good.

my W210 1998 had full main dealer service (68k miles) and it had a lot of corrosion in front wings, rear wheel arches, outer edges of all doors and also on the boot lid. This was all repaired by Mercedes under warranty even though the car was over 6 years old, ( Full marks to Mercedes ) the car looked fantastic when I got it back with new front wings etc. however I then sold the car and the new owner had to take it back after about 10 months as the rust was coming through again around the rear wheel arches and boot lid but this time the Mercedes authourised repairer didn't want to know and was quite off-hand with the new owner. Although the W210 is a lovely car once the rust gets in you will be fighting a losing battle, my advice is buy a W211 as I have done and you won't be disappointed its a much better car.
