E-Class w211 drivers door card

Hi can anyone help me with the removal of my drivers door card as i have a prob. with my central lock on that door Thanks

Remove covers 130 and 190 in link and remove torx screws behind. then the card pops of with pop clips all the way around. Remove the triangle speaker cover top left and piece around lock. once all pop clips are released and then lifts up and off.

Good luck.

if the lock is bouncing then a new lock is required.

If the button is jumping then you need a new lock, as there is a broken spring inside

Its worth grabbing a trim removal tool (halfords v cheap) to avoid snapping the poppers as you remove them. The tool has a fork one end and a blade the other and is great for all trim jobs (its stiff plastic so doesn't scratch).

On most models you have to partially remove the electric window regulator, by drilling out the riviots that hold it in place, detaching it from the glass and moving aside, so you have room to remove the lock from inside the door.

the airbag will also have to be removed if i remember correctly.

Make sure you order some correct riviots with a new lock.

Hi Guys, I'm new to Mercedes ownership and new to the forum.
Looking for any help guidence as I have developed the bouncing door lock on the drivers door of my 53 plate W211 estate
Looks like I need to remove door card and replace the lock, after reading this thread, so directions on both would be great thanks.

If you email me I'll send you what was sent to me when I asked. When the instruction says about removing the door lock you have to pull off the door seal and put a torx driver through the hole underneath.
