E Series 17" Wheels

I am having difficulty sourcing 17" aftermarket alloys for my 2011 E Series - an upgrade for my 16". Most for sale are two different widths: 225 X 45 for front and 245 x 45 for rear. Very, very few available with 245 all round. Handbook recommends 8.00 j X 17 H2 ET 48 or 8.5 j X 17 H2 ET 48. I think this refers to 245 X 45 X 17 tyres. Has anyone else had a problem with this and can spacers be fitted at the front to avoid touching the shocks?

Wilf. Have a look on rimstyle website . You need a 8j wheel for 245 45 17. Looks like wheelbase only do 7 . 7.5 j ..

I have 18' summer OE wheels, & 17" winter wheels. They are 245 45 17 all around.

Id imagine road holding will improve. Comfort through pot holes won't.
