Hi: My sunroof tilts OK but it gets stuck when trying to slide it open, the electric motor obviously works because I can hear it trying to push the sunroof backwards. Is there any easy (and cheap) way of freeing the mechanism or has it got to be done by MB.

It may just need lubricating, open it as far as possible and grease the runners on either side as far as you can, then operate the sliding mechanism backwards and forwards to spread the grease adding more as necessary until it is fully open, then clean the tracks and regrease.
