Hello, new to the site,
Can anyone advise on the gear selector for automatic becomming increasing difficult to move to required position. It seem's to be a lot worse in the cold, then it appears to be ok as the car warms up. But when its cold it can be a real pain and not move for a while. Any ideas please

Just to update. I hadanother look at it, and it appears the problem is that the first time I use the car, with my foot on the brake pedal, the gear selector will not release out of the P position and move to the required Drive position.
Is there something that is intermitantly not releasing the gear selector?. Any views would be greatfully received.
