hi, i have an old L reg E220 petrol auto estate, just wondered how easy it is to change the rear wheel bearing/s - someone said there just like the front, and are there bearings from other mercs that would fit..

Very difficult and long winded on the estates.

You will need to take the wheel bearing support off the car (which means a lot of dismantling) and take it to a workshop with a heavy duty press.

Someone doesn't know what they're talking about

Rear wheel bearings can be an utter swine to do. I'd get a quote from your local MB dealer - it may be the cheapest way to have it done
