E220 wont start, sounds like a bag of nuts

Hi all

I have what sounds like a dire issue!

Engine has been getting a bit coughy when fuel dropped to ¼ tank, so we changed fuel filter last week.

Today it cut out at ¼ tank, so we fueled it up. It coughed and limped back from the fuel station now wont start. Just chucks but will fire on the 3rd attempt and sounds like a bag of nuts and bolts has been thrown into the engine. Hubby was driving at the time and didn't notice any catastrophic sounds, but its not sounding good

Any help would be great as garage is booked up and we have kids, our other vehicle is 3.5ton van with only 2 seats

If it has been run dry of fuel, sometimes you need to bleed the fuel system in a specific way, if it's a 651 engined 220.
