With those messages, a trip to your local indy should be considered. Once plugged into an MB specific code reader, all will be revealed.

Need a new brake light switch probably. Indie will supply and fit. Switch not expensive.

Takes one minute to change the BL switch, once the panel below the steering wheel is removed.
£11 from MB when I bought one 2 years ago.

Best to check it first though. A few things can pop up that message

could easily be the reluctor ring on the hub so best to be sure what is at fault I think

If the cruise control also fails to work, another pointer to the BLS.

With a STAR sesh costing me £72, it's one of the very few parts to gamble on for £11 and high odds (IMO).
