e240 and e300

Is there any difference in the actual body size of a E240 and a E300 turbodiesel? My mate drove past today in his 300 and I thought it looked wider than my 240.

Within a given model - NO.
However, a W211 is bigger than W210, and W210 is bigger than W124.
