E240 light problem

I have a 1991 E240 only done 92k. I have a problem with the mainbeam, it only works on the flasher stick. Anyone else know of this and maybe a cure ?

I think you will need to strip down the light stalk, possibly contacts on the high beam switch.
There is power there as the flasher works.

Sounds like a failed indicator stalk unit.

Replaced the stalk now what
