E270 - Front Sensors going off in snow

Howdy,

Coming home from work today and it was snowing heavily after about 30 minutes of this the front left sensor beeped and went into the red twice. I was wondering if this is another fault to add to my E270 CDI I have had for a month now or do you think some snow built up on it?

So far the car has had the following faults in 4 weeks

Air con compressor - replaced £1094
Left heated wing mirror does not seem to work
Stereo SAT Nav keeps switching itself on and off at night.

I love the car but I am on egg shells waiting for something else to go wrong.

Cheers

Chris.

As Colechelle above

These sensor vibrate at 22khz any snow and ice stop the diaphragm on the front from moving and oscillating, a coat of wax will help

2005 C270CDi Avantgarde Estate. Bought 2005, sold 2022.
I was disappointed that my car, bought at 5mths old, didn't have Parktronic. I'd had an MB Corporate demo for a few days and thought they were ace.

The salesman told me it was better not to have them as the sensors tend to be troublesome after 3-4 yrs and I gather that there is an element of truth in that.

We do not get many post on faulty sensors,, the only ones in the main have been repainted incorrectly, and this could be the case here,,people get the bumpers re sprayed all of the time and many coach works do not understand them
