All,
Before I hassle the dealer, is this normal on this motor?

On slowing down or trickling along, I get an intermittent resonance/vibration through the steering column and pedals. I mucked around with it last night and found that it happens between 1000 and 1200 rpm.

Either I have a dodgy damper/bush somewhere, in which case they can sort it, or they all do it. It's not a major fault but if something is wrong, it may as well be fixed.

Anyone else have this?

Hi it sounds like the SBC pump running for the braking
system.Try it when you are stationary by pumping the brake pedal
3 times with engine running, pump should cut in to repressurize braking
system,this is normal.

Thanks for that, but no, its not the SBC - thats a different vibration!
If I hold the revs at 1100 its there all the time and on slowing down without braking (so brakes may not have been used for several mins and are fully charged) as it gets to around 25 mph, that's where it idles until it stops so its quite obtrusive. As no-one seems to recogniose they symptoms I'll put it down as a fault and have them check the engine mounts and other bushes at the next service. Not bad enough to spoil my enjoyment of the car, but I like perfection, especially if I'm not paying.

I'm also going to try for a pulse supression kit for the SBC. Its not actually that bad, though quite noisy on initial startup in the garage, but if MB will do it under warranty, why not.
