e270CDi w211 Glasgow?

Hi,

I am a newbie to MB diesels, having recently bought one, i find mine more noisy than i think it should be. Does anyone have the same car in glasgow so i can see whether its supposed to be like this or i have a fault with mine?

I'm not in Glasgow I'm afraid, but yes the 270 is noisier and rougher than the 220 IMO. (though it's also more fun). It should be quiet once you're rolling and I find it oddly quieter if I press on, but take it gently off the line, especially when cold and you can tell you're in a diesel!
That said, that performance with 30+ round town and 45+ on a run and it's still hard to beat.

Yeah I have an 03 E class 320CDi and I find that a bit on the noisy side, OK when it's warmed up a bit.
Like Jberks said if you go faster it seems to get quieter.
I love driving mine !!!
