E300 Bluetec Hybrid owner

Hi All,
I am new to the forum. I have owned E series Mercs for the last ten or so years and bought the hybrid looking forward to the MPG! Wrong-my average MPG is less than my old E 220. I will sell it sometime soon and will but a 4 wheel drive model. Any thoughts?

Early 2017 W213 E220d (without software update) Will give you best fuel economy.
I wouldn’t touch a hybrid without warranty

Welcome. Bought a SLC250d Dec 16 to replace a SLK200K. £30 a year road tax as apposed to £300 with the SLK.
Getting 45mpg locally, 60mpg on runs.
My E350CDI averages 48mpg between services, but very little town work.

I had a new one in 2014 and took it to France a couple of times, you can get decent mpg by feathering the pedal and using the electric mode more I believe it was called sailing or some such name.

Mine was trouble free and I enjoyed it but I can get similar mpg on a run from my E350 (2016 year).

Long running it's just a diesel but stuck in traffic, where my old car used to average 5mpg, it pays.
I once did the whole Chichester bypass in nose to tail stop-start-crawl all on the battery so 0 mpg.
It added some amusement to an otherwise very frustrating delay.

my 2013 lasted 18 months before imploding but until then I was regularly getting 60mpg +
