- E300 Bluetec/Hybrid (2014) W212.098 (OM651.924)
I have a 2014 E300 Bluetec/Hybrid that stopped responding completely a few weeks ago, after ringing the car alarm for 3-4 minutes... And a bad "burnt" smell under the bonnet.
Now the car is in the Official MB garage of North Cyprus... (went there with a towing truck) ....
When they checked it with the diagnosing computer the messages appear as the Hybrid together with the Main Battery need to be changed both; (initially) just to diagnose what was the real problem that the car stopped responding and went into a "deep sleep"...
As you can understand, the Hybrid battery is about €22,000 here in North Cyprus and I cannot afford to buy a new one... Which also sounds "illlogical" to buy a spare part which costs more than the value of a 2014-make car. (just for diagnosing the real problem).
Now the car sleeps in the MB garage, completely unusable...
Is there any way to refurbish that Hybrid Batteries?
If I find another Hybrid Battery from another car (as a second hand) would that be able to work on my car (because the part number will be different)?
Or should I buy a same model/make car from scrap (or a split one) and try to use its batteries as spare parts for my car?
Any suggestions for me?
